Every Day is Earth Day at R&H
Earth Day serves as the perfect opportunity for us to consider what we’re doing here at Ross & Hall to protect Mother Earth! In addition to being a Level 1 Certified Green Restaurant, we’re proud to be intentional about environmental responsibility, day in and day out. In this blog post we’re dedicating some space to explaining what being a Level 1 Certified Green Restaurant means and how we’re making it easier than ever for our guests to actively participate in green initiatives.
What is a Level 1 Certified Green Restaurant?
A stringent designation, being a Level 1 Certified Restaurant means that the Green Restaurant Association has deemed that we’re meeting strict environmental sustainability standards. GRA measures us on a range of categories such as water efficiency, waste reduction and recycling, and environmentally preferable disposables.
When you have some leftovers to bring home, we’ll send them home in one of our ecotainers. Made from compostable and recycled materials, it’s a great way for us to partner with our guests to reduce waste. To top it off, our ecotainers are compostable so feel free toss them in your garden, they are 100% biodegradable.
Sunday Brunch Mug
Planning on joining us for one of our Sunday brunches? We encourage you to bring your own mug! Bring your mug along and the coffee’s on us! We’ll be sure you have plenty of java to give your Sunday the jolt it needs.
Need Some Water?
We know that many of our guests bring reusable water bottles along. Rather than assuming you want water, the R&H team will make sure by asking. Doing so not only ensures that we aren’t wasting one of our most precious resources, it saves energy on the back end by eliminating the need to wash an unused glass.
At R& H, even the paper we print on in our office is printed on recycled stock. While all of these efforts might seem small, it’s only through our shared commitment to eco-friendly decisions that we can make a difference! Thank you for joining us in our efforts to protect Mother Earth, wishing you a happy Earth Day!
