2. Help improves Concentration
The vast numbers of benefits to children practicing on coloring pages simply can not be overstated from a psychological point of view. It’s important to start children on easy images so that they can experience a sense of achievement. As their coloring skill improves, they can be given more complex patterns and images to color. Giving children books and pages to color is a highly effective way to help them become better artists and writers, to enable them to concentrate better, to reduce the likelihood that they will suffer from mental problems, and to teach them important life lessons and values. Children who begin coloring at a young age will enjoy the benefits it can bestow for years to come.
Academically, parents can use preschool worksheets to help teach their children some of the basic skills they will need for kindergarten and school. This will include counting to ten, recognizing shapes and colors, being able to hold a pencil or crayon properly, and coloring in without scribbling. Basic math concepts such as recognizing patterns, understanding quantity and some simple addition and subtraction will be useful. By the time your child is ready for kindergarten or school, they should be able to recognize their own name and other simple written words. The sounds of each letter of the alphabet should be familiar to your child, and they should understand the principle of reading from left to right, which way to hold a book, and possibly even be starting to read three and four-letter words.
+ Eyeballs and brains help see color.
3. Interested in the Topic: It is a fact of life that people get bored sometimes. The exciting thing about coloring pages is that there are so many different subjects, you should be able to find one that your child is interested in. If your child is into the PBS Kids Dinosaur Train TV show, you may find that they love to color their favorite characters, Buddy, Tiny, Shiny and Don. Kids love to relate to the characters on their and this makes the coloring experience far from boring.
You would think that after your child has completed their masterpiece that would be the end. Well it’s not over yet! Teaching your little one(s) to actually search for their own coloring pages introduces children to the Internet. By teaching them to do so your little one will develop hand eye coordination by using the keyboard and mouse. Their skills on how to search for the information that they are looking for will prove to be invaluable in latter years. Before long I’m sure your child will start to teach you a thing or two about the Internet that you didn’t know.
